Little House at East Linton

By on March 6, 2017

Elements has just completed a lovely build at East Linton in East Lothian. The initial concept and design was by Laura Jane Clark of Lamp Architects and we were thrilled to be working on this project. Our clients were keen to reuse and salvage where possible so we factored this into the finished build and hope you agree it really is rather lovely; and our clients thinks so too.... "We were so pleased to have worked with Elements on this build - apart from being wowed by the end result, the process itself was a pleasure.  Kevin translated our design sketches and aspirations into an awesome little building in a very unflappable and adaptable fashion.  He advised on construction options, sourced appropriate materials (to suit our aim of reuse and salvage where possible) and developed a design that allowed for incorporation of found materials as the build progressed.
With a genial presence on site and a flexible, professional manner throughout, Elements come highly recommended!"

Andy & Michala Bradshaw

We Build Log Cabins

By on February 14, 2017

Elements loves to create space for our clients where before there was nothing. Summer 2016 we worked very closely with our client in Gullane, East Lothian to create just the right space for her. Charlotte had particular requirements that we were keen to get just right for her, so working closely  we came up with solutions and an inspiring and workable space for Charlotte, but don't takeout word for it... "The simple truth is i have been enjoying my new log cabin. What an asset it has been to my outside space. Kevin's dedication to intricate detail and extremely high standard of workmanship was infectious and clearly shared by his little team. Each day ,for the short time it took them to build my cabin, was a delight. I was consulted with respect and courtesy on every step from choosing wood thickness to final paint colour and roof shingles. I cannot recommend highly enough the friendly professional delivery of the work carried out. I love my cabin . Thank you Kevin and your team."

Roof Top Terrace

By on October 21, 2016

The sky really is the limit when it comes to what our clients want.  We had the privilege of designing and building a roof top terrace in the heart of Edinburgh the summer. Our client's previously unused roof space was turned into an outdoor room with spectacular views over the Princes Street Gardens to Edinburgh Castle. The roof top is now a secluded idyll in the middle of the city, wonderful on a warm summer's day and equally stunning at night with well thought out lighting and sound.

Radio Interview!!

By on August 24, 2016

July 2016 and elements took to the majestic and remote landscape of Glen Doll where we were tasked with the repair of the Roy Tait Memorial Bridge. The bridge lies on Balmoral Estate and royal approval had to be attained for its's original construction in 1984 in memory of Roy Tait. We at elements were delighted to have been successful in the tender to repair it and return it to a safe standard. The bridge itself spans a deep gorge and that along with the remote access and of course the midges ensured it was an interesting and challenging job - right up our street. We even managed to be interviewed by Radio Scotland whilst on site, listen to the clip below at 12:49 minutes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07pdp9j @cairngormsnews

World Cup 2016

By on June 28, 2016

Well the sun shone on this year's downhill mountain bike in Fort William and once again the eyes of the world turned to our mighty start hut built for the 2011 event. It gives us a great thrill very year to see world class riders start their epic downhill race from our iconic start hut and to know once again that it has withstood the harshest of conditions in Scottish winters on an exposed mountain side. Yes, we build log cabins and yes build iconic landmarks and yes they are all built to last. http://www.redbull.com/uk/en/bike/stories/1331798350480/claudio-caluori-fort-william-2016-gopro-course-preview http://fortwilliamworldcup.co.uk/   http://www.moredirt.com/features/Fort-William-World-Cup-2011-Update/2115/
